The producers are requesting that the Capoeira group resides within the Greater Toronto area or an hour outside of it.
Now, that obviously puts lots of you out of the running, but don’t let that discourage you. If your group has a branch in or around Toronto, then, by all means, send us their info. This is a great opportunity to present Capoeira to a whole new crowd that has probably never seen it! Also, your grupo will definitely benefit from the publicity! Like in any other sport, steroids exist within capoeira. Is it cheating to use them? Is it simply a means for a capoeirista to reach his/her full potential as a martial artist? If you discover that a higher belt in your grupo uses them, what, if anything, will you do about it?
